Making Friends on the Road: Community & Connections
In episode 9, Violet and Bill Carmody chat about how we plan to make friends during our 52 weeks of travel. This includes tapping into our existing communities such as coaches, family and global friends as well as connection we've made along the way. Violet sees dancing it out in every city as a way to break the language barrier and connect with people her own age.

And yes, Violet is a WAY better dancer than me. For those of you who joined my 50th birthday party, you know what I’m talking about. Violet and Will both love to dance and have lots and lots of energy on the dance floor … like their mom:

And, of course, dancing is just one of the many ways we’ll meet new people. In many parts of the world, we have the distinct pleasure of meeting up with our incredible coaching community. These are some of the most amazing people on the planet and, for the first time, we get to meet them face-to-face. As much as I’ve enjoyed all the zoom calls these past 5+ years, I’m ready to meet up in real life (and spend time in other people’s hometowns).
I can’t believe there are just 4 and half months left (19 weeks as of today) until we hit the road. I’m seriously not ready. I don’t think anyone can be truly “ready.” I’m still reorganizing our stop-list locations and travel dates to accommodate the times Elena will join us. Then we must finalize travel Visas, firm up our meet-up plans in each location, confirm how we’re getting to various destinations, finalize our flights and, well, the list goes on.
I’m doing serious PQ Reps to remain focused and take advantage of the remaining time to ensure we put our best foot forward. And yes, there will be things we get wrong and that’s part of the “adventure.” In the meantime, I’m doing my best to wrap up my work at Positive Intelligence and “finish strong.”
