Making Friends on the Road with Community
In episode 9, Violet and Bill Carmody chat about how we plan to make friends during our 52 weeks of travel. This includes tapping into our existing communities such as coaches, family and global friends as well as connection we've made along the way. Violet sees dancing it out in every city as a way to break the language barrier and connect with people her own age.
Time Out + Google Keynote in Dublin
In episode 8, Bill and Violet discuss how to handle stressful situations when we are upset or angry with each other. Last night we had such an event happen and we were able to come up with a "Time Out" strategy that we will begin to use and develop long before we hit the road together.
In other news, Google Ireland is excited to have us share our 90-minute keynote (and another 90 minutes of networking) on July 4, 2025 with all the details to follow. Coaches in Europe who are interested will be able to join us live as we kick off our World Tour. It's going to be an incredible start to our epic journey together. Elena Carmody (Wife & Mom) Joins the Tour
Violet’s mom and my wife, Elena Carmody, is not keen on living out of a suitcase for a full year. She’s planning on joining us for about 9 weeks starting in Italy and Greece, then flying with us to Japan and Thailand. She’s open to doing more, but balancing the amount of time living abroad versus the comforts of home.
It’s possible she’ll join early and meet us in France and/or Spain before we travel to Italy and she may fly back to spend some quality time in New Zealand. She also shares some of the crazy Visa requirements happening right now in the European Union in 2025. I’m grateful to have her share her experience and unique perspective in this trip.
