Meet Peter, Founder of TravellersPoint.com

Today, I took the opportunity to thank Peter, the founder of TravellersPoint.com for his amazing tool. You’ll see I’m currently using his tool on my homepage so that I can share where Violet and I will be travelling (and when).

Without Peter’s tool, I was struggling to visually share where I would be in the world. This tool was first discovered by my travel agent and coaching friend, Kerrie Gordon. It changed everything. It’s allowed Kerrie to help me visually see where we’d be when, and easily adjust our travel plans as opportunities continue to arise.

Using TravellersPoint.com, I’m able to share my full year trip on my website.

In my interview with Peter, I chat with him about my own experience with his tool as well as find out about how it came to be. We shared some stories about our own world travel adventures as well as Peter’s father converting his physical travel journal to a digital one on Travellerspoint.

I enjoy learning about how entrepreneurs get the calling to build their businesses. In this case, Peter discovered just how valuable travel journals are — not just to the people who create them, but also their family members and friends. He built Travellerspoint in 2002 prior to Facebook as a means for friends to share their travel adventures with each other.

And what a cool way to share! I know the default is to grab your phone and take a bunch of pictures, but then what? A few months later, it’s all a blur. By taking the time to journal your experience, you’re able to capture your adventure and share it with other people.

Peter is working on a number up features for his tool and will be sharing out to the community later this year. It was a real pleasure speaking with him and having the opportunity to thank him for his contribution to our trip around the world. I can’t believe that’s only five months away!
